Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

Wow, people must really expect way to much out of this place. This is not the best pizza; but its way better than the dominoes of the world, and let's be real, how hard is it to screw up cheese and bread? Plus you can't beat the price: $7.99 caryout after 4pm, $6.99 before 4pm; that is cheap stuff. Also, the garlic bread with cheese is actually pretty bomb (again bread and cheese). The value at this place is great, I will be back.

DO NOT GO HERE! I was taking a long walk through sligo creek and came across this pizza place. A good place to use the restroom and get a snack, I thought. I was wrong. I walked in, noticed the bathroom was locked, and so I asked for the key from an employee in the kitchen. She said, "bathroom only for customers." I went on to explain that I was going to buy something. She replied, "you have to ask her for the key," as she pointed to the cashier. As I walked over to the cashier, the lady yelled to the cashier, (in Spanish) "Don't give her the bathroom key. Just tell her the bathroom is broken." Little did they know, this white girl speaks Spanish. I then proceeded to ask the cashier for they key in Spanish. She did look surprised, yet continued to tell me that the bathroom was not functioning. I left the pizza joint with an empty stomach and full bladder.

How does this place pass it's health inspection? By far the worst upkeep in any establishment I've ever seen. Once I built up the courage to eat the pizza it wasn't bad but the women could not have been less friendly. Please do not go here.

Don't get the pizza here. Pizza Movers is a chain and the pizza at each place varies....this one is Salvadorian owner, so... Get the steak tacos...perfect steak with lime and fresh cilantro and avocado. Also some of the best tamales and pupusas in all of Langley Park. Everything is pretty cheap. Those tacos are the thing I miss the most about living nearby. Also a good place for some bisquick pancakes and fake syrup, or other cheap breakfast when the need arises.

This location is not quite as good as the Takoma Park location, but it is still fantastic! It must be that none of the Pizza Movers fans are on Yelp. The pizza is the best in the area: good cheese, fresh veggies, great prices, tasty crust, and the best sauce around! I have been frequenting Pizza Movers for 12 years and I have driven over an hour for it each direction. I am a huge Pizza Movers fan and highly recommend it to everyone.

If you're ever in the mood for a good pizza, you need to keep moving past Pizza Movers II. I was in the mood for the cheesy, flat pie we all know and love as pizza and their large one topping pizza for only $8.95 definitely got my attention. Normally, I like mushrooms, unless they're the canned and taste more like aluminum than the tasty fungi they are. If they're canned, I order pepperoni instead. I entered Pizza Moves II, was quickly greeted, and I asked if the mushrooms were fresh or canned. The lady behind the counter replied with a big, friendly smile and said, "Fifteen minutes!" Quickly deducing there was a considerable language barrier, I said, "Pepperoni," and she left her place behind the register and began to get to work in the kitchen. My order was soon finished, boxed, purchased, and transported home. I admit to enthusiastic anticipation. The pizza was considerable size and as previously mentioned, only $8.95. However, the positive points of this dining experience end with that. The edges of the singed pepperoni curled up like little cups filled with grease. I took some paper towel and dabbed away as much grease bleeding from the surface as I could. The cheese tasted like American processed cheese and not 'real' cheese. I know, I know, what was I expecting for $8.95? I guess there's another plus, plenty of leftovers, but you may not like them. This would have been an amazing find back in my university days when my insides were made of a sturdier stuff than they are now, my taste buds were less discerning, quantity trumped quality, and $10.00 was my weekly budget and not just a meal budget. But now, I'm a refined cheapskate and demand the highest standards of my cut rate eateries. Will I go back? No.

I offered to buy my coworkers lunch today and they were in the mood for pizza. Having tried all of the other (mostly bad) options in Takoma Park, they settled on Pizza Movers II. I called at 11:45 and ordered an extra large vegetarian pizza. The woman just kept repeating "fifteen minutes", so we ended the call and I hoped for the best. The parking lot is small, and could hold 6 sedans at most; they share it with 2-3 other small stores. I arrived at 12:05 and the first thing I noticed when walking in was how dingy it was, followed immediately by how overwhelmingly hot. They have several in-window air conditioner units, but they were a) not turned on, and b) covered with filters that had been taped to the front of them (I'm assuming the health department told them they needed filters and this was their solution). I could only see one employee working and she was on break, so I had to wait five minutes before she acknowledged me, finished her break, and rung me up. The total for the XL Veggie was $22, not cheap, but whatever. After completing the transaction, she said it would be 5 more minutes. 5 minutes later, another woman walks in from the back, where I have to assume she was watching the multitude of small children that were yelling over their Spanish cartoons (note the crib in picture 2). The woman who has resumed her break instructs this new woman (I'm assuming, I don't speak Spanish) to make my pizza. This new woman walks into the back and begins pulling a large number of plastic bags out of the freezer. Come to find out, these are the toppings that will go on the pizza: tomatoes, peppers, onions, mushrooms, and cheese were all frozen. The olives came from a can; the sauce may well have too. Into the oven the frozen beast goes. Another 20 minutes pass and I'm getting irritated. Not only is it 90 degrees outside, it is approaching 90 degrees inside and no one is bothering to give me an update or otherwise acknowledge my continued presence. I snapped the third picture as the pizza maker was boxing the pizza up, the clock shows 12:40, which is 35 minutes past my arrival and 55 minutes since ordering for carryout. The woman walks to the register, rings me up a second time and has to be instructed from the first woman (still on break) that I've paid. I leave without another word from either party. The pizza smelled fine, but knowing what went into it and where it came from, I elected not to eat any. I was told by those who did that it wasn't anything worth repeating. I'd normally call it a loss and go no further if it hadn't taken $22 and 35 minutes in a sauna to obtain. My advice is to stay away. Gross interior, heinous service and equally bad food.

Regarding the pizza... I ordered the carry out special. $7.99 for a xl 16inch 1 topping pie. Yeah, that's real cheap. My expectations were low. Was I surprised! My picky son and wife agreed it was a real solid pie. We opted for our topping to be extra cheese and it worked out great. Everything was fresh, it was cooked right in front of me. Yeah it's a dive but wasn't worried about that at all. I'd compare it to flippin pizza... Both are real good if your like that NY style.
